What sizes are available for hang tags? +
BDPrint offers a variety of default sizes ranging from 1×3 inches to 4×6 inches, with the standard size being 2" x 3.5" (another common size is 2" x 4"). Custom sizes and custom-shaped hang tags are also available through custom quote requests.
Can hang tags be printed double-sided? +
Yes! You can choose to print on one or both sides. We can also print on the interior of folded and fold-over hang tags.
Can you print variable data on hang tags? +
Yes! We can use variable data printing for prices, product names, and any other information you need on each individual product tag.
Do you offer hang tags with strings or eyelets? +
Yes, we offer multiple attachment options including eyelets and strings! We provide eyelets in brass (gold coloring) or nickel (silver coloring) finishes. For strings, we offer white, black, silver, and gold colors in both standard string and elastic options. Our standard string is 12" in length, creating a 6" loop when attached. We also provide additional attachment options including knotted, looped, wired, and loop knotted styles using various materials such as ribbons, natural and imitation jute, and cotton. If you prefer to add your own custom strings and tassels, we can drill holes to your specifications.
Can I add rounded corners or custom shapes to hang tags? +
Yes! We offer several standard shape options including rectangle (with and without rounded corners), oval, circular shapes, and double beveled edge designs. We also create completely custom shapes through our custom quote service for unique hang tag designs.
What additional finishing options are available for hang tags? +
We provide an extensive range of finishing options including rounded corners, added eyelets and string options and many more customization options.
Will I receive a proof before printing begins? +
Yes! We provide up to two free digital (soft) proofs before production begins. Extra soft proofs and physical hard proofs can be ordered for an additional cost.
What file format should I use for my hang tag design? +
We recommend high-resolution PDF files with bleed for best results. For optimal results, use PDF files with outlined fonts, crop marks, and flattened layers.
How should I set up bleed in my hang tag design? +
A 0.125" bleed should be included on all edges of your hang tag design, including custom shapes, holes, and cutouts.
What is your maximum ink coverage limit? +
The maximum ink coverage is limited to 300%. Exceeding this may cause print issues like cracking. For rich black, we recommend using 30C, 20M, 20Y, and 100K.
